- Audacity audio software download and technical infoAudacity is free audio-creating software that is installed on all the district's computers. You can download the free software for your home computer here. To access the software on school computers, go to Start\Applications\Multimedia\Audacity. You will need a digital microphone to record your voice. Audacity allows you to create and edit digital audio files.
- Voki: Make your audio recording come from an Avatar!Voki is a free, Web-based software that you can use in conjunction with Audacity. Voki allows you to create or use one of their avatars, who will then "say" what you want them to. So instead of your narrated message coming from you, it comes from a cute or funny avatar.

Remember: To record your voice, you will need a digital microphone plugged in to the correct port and turned on (if there's an on switch) in order to record your voice. Six USB microphones are available from HCC library, and other similar mikes are available from the technology dept. in your building.
If you choose, you can import music files and mix music with your voice recording, too.
